Even zirconia ceramics possibly have a completely different composition and be differently processed. Thus there are zirconia ceramics that are stronger and more resistant than other zirconia ceramics.

These different types of ceramics should therefore also be tested for biocompatibility as they can have very varied effects on the body, albeit not such dramatic ones as metals.

In Dr. Heiss´s practice, we use the probably most highly developed and most sophisticated implants available – those of Swiss Dental Solutions. From their shape, form and composition, these are logically attuned to the type of bone they will be implanted into.
