What does that actually mean…?
Preventive measures for children and young people
Learning and applying the right brushing techniques, including the right oral hygiene aids and how to use them, regular and thorough examinations through our dental practice team, and the correct diet.
Tooth fillings
When a tooth has become damaged (has a cavity), e.g. due to tooth decay, the tooth will be cleaned and prepared, and then a filling material is used to replace the missing tooth substance.
Crowns
A crown is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant and is typically bonded to the tooth or implant. Crowns are often used to protect and restore teeth when they are so badly damaged that fillings are no longer sufficient and also to improve the strength or appearance of teeth.
Bridges
A bridge, also known as a fixed partial denture, is a dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth by joining permanently two adjacent teeth or dental implants.
When restoring an edentulous space with a fixed partial denture that will crown the teeth next to the space and bridge the gap with a pontic, or “dummy tooth”, the restoration is referred to as a bridge.
Periodontitis
Periodontitis ( peri = around, odont = tooth, itis = inflammation ) refers to a number of inflammatory diseases affecting the periodontium – that is, the tissues that surround and support the teeth. Periodontitis involves progressive loss of the alveolar bone around the teeth, and if left untreated, can lead to the losing and subsequent loss of teeth. Periodontitis is caused by microorganisms that adhere to and grow on the tooth’s surfaces, along with an overly aggressive immune response against these microorganisms.
Extraction of wisdom teeth
Wisdom teeth often do not have enough space in the jaw and cause inflammation as well as jaw pains and headaches, and even migraine. A timely extraction saves a lot of distress.
Paediatric dentistry
Particularly in the case of children, anxiety reduction and – if possible – painless treatment are important to ensure that the visit to the dentist's does not become a nasty experience.
Preventive measures for adults (prophylaxis)
Everything that keeps your teeth beautiful and healthy and your smile radiant:
- The right brushing techniques and tooth care, the correct oral hygiene aids and how to use them properly and efficiently
- The right diet
- Professional dental cleaning: Deep cleansing that even goes under the gums
- Airflow: A spray of air, a special powder and a water jet meet to quickly remove plaque and stains without pain.
Natural medicine
- Testing of compatible materials that are to be used in your mouth (testing for compatibility and allergic reactions)
- Having your body cleansed of heavy metals e.g. mercury deposits (mainly from brain and nerve tissue) caused also by amalgam fillings
- Facilitating the healing process using homeopathy and cell stimulation, which enforce the body's own healing power.
- Avoiding "hard" medicines which strain the organism and are more likely to suppress the body's self-healing process
- Taking a holistic view of the human being, because the teeth are connected with the whole organism. View our diagram Teeth & Organes
Aesthetic dentistry
Optical improvement of the alignment, colour and form of the teeth using the latest technology:
- Teeth whitening
- Aesthetic closing of gaps between the front teeth without using crowns
- Aesthetic improvement of the alignment of the front teeth without resorting to orthodontic procedures
Implants
An artificial tooth replacement implanted into the jaw bone. It is used in prosthetic dentistry to support restorations that resemble a tooth or group of teeth.
However remember, they should be full ceramic Implants, not metal.
Functional treatment
The treatment of bite abnormalities and resulting pain in the jaw joint, jaw clicking, problems with the jaw muscle when chewing, and frequently even migraine-like headaches.
The jaw muscles are slackened and the bite position is adjusted to the relaxed, so-called "myocentric".
