The next step is to use the myocentric (lit. muscle centre) procedure according to Dr Schöttl to bring the jaw into an unforced position chosen by the relaxed masticatory muscles themselves. In this case, the dentist does not lay his hands on the jaw, contrary to the gnathological procedure.
